Vacancy Details

Eligibility for Deputy Chief Mechanical Engineer (Mechanical)

• Essential Qualification: Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University/Institution.
• Experience: Officers holding analogous posts or the post of Superintending Engineer and equivalent posts in the Mechanical Engineering discipline of M&E Engg.Deptt. in the Scale of pay of Rs.13000-18250 (Revised Rs. 60000 -180000) with three year regular service in the grade in the Mechanical Engineering discipline in a Major Port or Superintending Engineer and equivalent post in the Mechanical Engineering discipline of M&E Engg.Deptt. with two years regular service in the grade and a combined regular service of seven years in the Scales of Pay of Rs.10750-16750 (Revised Rs.50000 - 160000) and Rs.13000-18250 (Revised Rs. 60000 -180000) in the Mechanical Engineering discipline in a Major Port Trust.

Selection Process

The selection is by merit for which the benchmark in overall grading in ACR will not be below 'Very Good'.

• Attested copies of Educational & Professional qualifications.
• Attested copies of ACRs/APARs for the last 5 years.
• No-Objection Certificate of the respective Ports.
• Two recent passport size colour photographs.
• Undertaking not to withdraw candidature (Annexure-III).
• Certificate by Head of Office (Annexure-IV).
• Vigilance/Administrative clearance (Annexure-V).
