Eligibility for Deputy Chief Mechanical Engineer (Mechanical)
- Essential Qualification: Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University/Institution.
- Experience: Officers holding analogous posts or the post of Superintending Engineer and equivalent posts in the Mechanical Engineering discipline of M&E Engg.Deptt. in the Scale of pay of Rs.13000-18250 (Revised Rs. 60000 -180000) with three year regular service in the grade in the Mechanical Engineering discipline in a Major Port or Superintending Engineer and equivalent post in the Mechanical Engineering discipline of M&E Engg.Deptt. with two years regular service in the grade and a combined regular service of seven years in the Scales of Pay of Rs.10750-16750 (Revised Rs.50000 - 160000) and Rs.13000-18250 (Revised Rs. 60000 -180000) in the Mechanical Engineering discipline in a Major Port Trust.
Selection Process
The selection is by merit for which the benchmark in overall grading in ACR will not be below 'Very Good'.
How to Apply
Applications in the prescribed format (Annexure-II) must be forwarded through proper channel to reach the office on or before 18.02.2026. The following documents are required:
- Attested copies of Educational & Professional qualifications.
- Attested copies of ACRs/APARs for the last 5 years.
- No-Objection Certificate of the respective Ports.
- Two recent passport size colour photographs.
- Undertaking not to withdraw candidature (Annexure-III).
- Certificate by Head of Office (Annexure-IV).
- Vigilance/Administrative clearance (Annexure-V).
