Educational Qualification: B.Sc

1. Position: Nurse Counselor

2. Work Location: Odisha

3. Project Brief: The Christian Medical College and Hospital Vellore and Centre for Stem Cell Research (a unit of inStem, Bengaluru) in collaboration with Govt of Odisha are implementing a project titled: Control of Thalassemia & Sickle Cell Disease, for Odisha to address and control the Major Hemoglobin Disorders such as Sickle Cell Anemia and Thalassemia prevalence in Odisha.

4. Qualification: B.Sc. Nursing preferably with two-year experience

5. Salary scale: Consolidated pay (Rs 32,000/-)

6. Job description:  

a) To Provide Pre and Post Counseling of Antenatal Women and Family for PND at selected medical colleges in Odisha.

b) To Train ANM / District hospital / Private Hospital Nurses in Pre and Post Test Counseling.

c) To manage the sentinel surveillance centre at selected medical colleges in Odisha.

d) To assist the sample collection (Cord Blood Sample Collection) procedure for the project.

e) Sample management and transportation to the genetic lab.

f) Report generation and inventory management with regard to the project.

h) Data generation and reporting to the PMU.
