Skills / Eligibility
The Institute intends to engage following Non-Institutional project human resource positions, purely on temporary contract basis for its ICMR funded research project titled “Screening of tribal population for Sickle Cell Anaemia in Abu Road & Pindwara Blocks of Sirohi District, Gogunda Block of Udaipur District and in Kishanganj and Sahabad Blocks of Baran District” being undertaken at ICMR-NIIRNCD Jodhpur. For this purpose, the institute invites applications for the temporary posts mentioned herewith. The place of posting will be Jodhpur (if required, He/She may be posted at any place of Rajasthan). Required qualifications and other details are given below :- 1. Post Name: Contract Technician - III 2. No. of Post: 08 4. Emoluments: Rs.18,000/-p.m. (Consolidated) 4. Essential Qualification: 12th pass in science subjects and 02 years Diploma in Medical Lab Technology (DMLT) Or 12th pass in science subjects AND 01 year DMLT and 01 year lab experience in a Govt. recognized organization Or 12th pass in science subjects and 02 years field/laboratory experience. B.Sc. degree shall be treated as 3 years experience. 5. Duration: One year or till completion of project (whichever is earlier)

Selection Procedure
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for personal discussion/interview. In case of more than 30 eligible candidates, a written test will be conducted comprising of multiple choice questions. The level of questions would be of essential qualification prescribed for the post. The candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the interview subject to qualifying the skill test, wherever applicable

The National Institute for Implementation Research on Non Communicable Diseases came into existence on 07th December 2019. The institute is located in Jodhpur and it replaces the erstwhile Desert Medicine Research Centre. The institute has state of the art facility to conduct basic laboratory based research in its microbiology, biochemistry and vector biology laboratories. The institute is acquiring manpower and facilities for strengthening it's capacity for conducting implementation research in non- communicable diseases. At present, the institute has a set of 10 dedicated scientists, 9 technical experts, ably supported by 28 administrative and support staff. The thrust areas of research are cardiovascular diseases, chronic respiratory diseases, environmental health, nutritional disorders, cancers, injury & trauma, mental illnesses including substance abuse, genetic diseases and other non-communicable diseases of public health significance in India. The institute aspires to carry out implementation research in the thrust areas, provide training for capacity building in implementation research in other academic and research institutions, develop behavior change communication materials and models for tackling risk factors of various non communicable diseases. The institute heartily welcomes collaboration with institutions and individuals with interest in augmenting the thrust areas.
