Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Project Research Scientist - III (Non-Medical) (Post 1)

  • Essential: Postgraduate degree in Clinical Psychology/Cognitive & Neuroscience/Clinical Pharmacy/Psychology/Public Health/Psychiatric Social Work/Social Work/Sociology/Microbiology/Biochemistry/Chemistry with 5 years post-qualification experience. OR Postgraduate degree in the specified subjects with PhD + 2 years' post-qualification experience.
  • Desirable: Experience in Public Health/Implementation Research with Publications in Peer-Reviewed Journals.

Eligibility for Project Research Scientist - III (Non-Medical) (Post 2)

  • Essential: Postgraduate degree in Clinical Psychology/Cognitive & Neuroscience/Clinical Pharmacy/Psychology/Public Health/Psychiatric Social Work/Social Work/Sociology/Microbiology/Biochemistry/Zoology/Chemistry with 3 years' post-qualification experience. OR Postgraduate degree in the specified subjects with Ph.D.
  • Desirable: Experience in Public Health/Implementation Research with Publications in Peer-Reviewed Journals related to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy/Depression/Anxiety.

Eligibility for Field Supervisor

  • Essential: Bachelor's degree in Public Health/Nursing/Life Sciences/Social Work/Allied Health Sciences. Minimum 2 years of experience in community-based health projects, preferably NCD or surveillance studies.
  • Skills: Familiarity with field data collection using digital tools. Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Willingness to travel extensively.

Eligibility for Project Research Scientist – I (Medical)

  • Essential: MBBS degree from a recognized university/institute.

Eligibility for Project Technical Support – III (Post 5)

  • Essential: A Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) degree with 3 years' post-qualification experience. OR A Master of Physiotherapy (MPT).
  • Desirable: 2 Yrs Experience on Pulmonary rehabilitation of CRD patients/Community based health survey/field work/laboratory work.

Eligibility for Project Technical Support – II

  • Essential: 12th in science + Diploma (MLT/DMLT) + 05 Years Experience in relevant subject/field. OR Graduation degree in Science (BMLT/Nursing) with 2 years' experience in collection of biological samples, handling of analyzers, ELISA etc.
  • Desirable: Community based health survey/field work/laboratory work.

Eligibility for Project Research Scientist – II (Non-Medical)

  • Essential: Post Graduate Degree in Public Health/Epidemiology/Biostatistics/Life Sciences/Health Sciences with three years post-qualification experience in the relevant subjects. OR Post Graduate Degree in the specified subjects with a PhD in the relevant subject.
  • Desirable: Prior experience in oral cancer/head & neck cancer/NCD research, preferably in screening or early detection programs. Experience working with Health & Wellness Centres (Ayushman Arogya Mandirs) or Community Health Officers (CHOs). Experience in training, capacity building, or IEC/BCC activities. Experience in community-based or implementation research, including field coordination and stakeholder engagement. Hands-on experience in data collection, management, and analysis using SPSS/STATA. Familiarity with public-health surveillance systems, program monitoring, and reporting. Ability to prepare technical reports, policy briefs, and scientific manuscripts.

Eligibility for Project Technical Support- III (Post 7 ii)

  • Essential: Graduate degree with Public Health/Epidemiology/Biostatistics/Life Sciences/Health Sciences with 3 years post-qualification experience. OR Postgraduate in Public Health/Epidemiology/Biostatistics/Life Sciences/Health Sciences.
  • Desirable: Experience in oral cancer/head and neck cancer/NCD-related public-health research, preferably in screening or early detection programmes. Experience in community-based field work, including coordination with Health & Wellness Centres (Ayushman Arogya Mandirs) and Community Health Officers (CHOs). Experience in data collection, entry, and basic analysis using MS Excel/SPSS/STATA. Exposure to training, IEC/BCC activities, and community awareness programmes Familiarity with public-health reporting, monitoring, and documentation.

Eligibility for Project Technical Support - I

  • Essential: Three-year Graduate degree in Life Science/Biotechnology/Microbiology/Biochemistry/Biomedical Sciences/Genetics/Molecular Biology/Zoology/Botany with 1-year post-qualification experience in the relevant field. OR 10th + Diploma (MLT/DMLT or equivalent) + 2 years' experience in the relevant field.
  • Desirable: Prior experience in dengue or other vector-borne disease research/surveillance. Experience in sample collection, processing, and basic laboratory techniques (ELISA, RT-PCR, molecular or serological assays). Exposure to entomological or field surveillance activities, including coordination with state/district health teams. Experience in data entry, management, and basic analysis using MS Excel/SPSS/STATA.

About National Institute for Implementation Research in Non-Communicable Diseases (NIIRNCD)

The National Institute for Implementation Research on Non Communicable Diseases came into existence on 07th December 2019. The institute is located in Jodhpur and it replaces the erstwhile Desert Medicine Research Centre. The institute has state of the art facility to conduct basic laboratory based research in its microbiology, biochemistry and vector biology laboratories. The institute is acquiring manpower and facilities for strengthening it's capacity for conducting implementation research in non- communicable diseases. At present, the institute has a set of 10 dedicated scientists, 9 technical experts, ably supported by 28 administrative and support staff. The thrust areas of research are cardiovascular diseases, chronic respiratory diseases, environmental health, nutritional disorders, cancers, injury & trauma, mental illnesses including substance abuse, genetic diseases and other non-communicable diseases of public health significance in India. The institute aspires to carry out implementation research in the thrust areas, provide training for capacity building in implementation research in other academic and research institutions, develop behavior change communication materials and models for tackling risk factors of various non communicable diseases. The institute heartily welcomes collaboration with institutions and individuals with interest in augmenting the thrust areas.
