1. Essential Qualifications

• Educational Degree:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in the discipline concerned (Agricultural Engineering) recognized by KAU.
  • Note: Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering is not insisted for those who have taken up make-up courses (12 credits semester/18 credits trimester) for PG courses in Agricultural Engineering from KAU.
• Master’s Degree: Master’s Degree in the relevant subject recognized by KAU with a minimum of 55% marks (traditional system) or equivalent.
• NET/Ph.D.:
  • NET conducted by ASRB/ICAR/UGC/AICTE.
  • OR Ph.D. Degree obtained as per UGC Regulations 2009/2016.
  • Ph.D. Exemption: Candidates registered for Ph.D. prior to July 11, 2009, are exempted from NET/SLET/SET provided specific conditions (regular mode, external evaluators, viva voce, publications) are met.
  • OR Ph.D. from a foreign university ranked among top 500 (QS, THE, ARWU).

2. Desirable Qualifications

• Knowledge in Malayalam language (read and write).
• Ph.D. in the relevant subject recognized by KAU.

3. Age Limit & Other Criteria

• Age Limit: Not over 50 years as on 01.01.2026.
• Nationality: Indian Citizen.
• Experience: Candidates with PG in relevant discipline will be considered in the absence/shortage of NET/Ph.D. holders.
