- Educational Degree:
- Bachelor’s Degree in the discipline concerned (Agricultural Engineering) recognized by KAU.

- Master’s Degree: Master’s Degree in the relevant subject recognized by KAU with a minimum of 55% marks (traditional system) or equivalent.
- NET/Ph.D.:
- NET conducted by ASRB/ICAR/UGC/AICTE.
- OR Ph.D. Degree obtained as per UGC Regulations 2009/2016.
- Ph.D. Exemption: Candidates registered for Ph.D. prior to July 11, 2009, are exempted from NET/SLET/SET provided specific conditions (regular mode, external evaluators, viva voce, publications) are met.
- OR Ph.D. from a foreign university ranked among top 500 (QS, THE, ARWU).
2. Desirable Qualifications
- Knowledge in Malayalam language (read and write).
- Ph.D. in the relevant subject recognized by KAU.

- Age Limit: Not over 50 years as on 01.01.2026.
