Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
- Essential Qualification: Must have completed the Recorders Certificate Class Course (RCCC) Training from the Assam Survey & Settlement Training Centre, Dakhingaon, Guwahati-40, and been declared proficient (in both Survey and Settlement subjects) in the mandated examination. The result must have been declared by the Director of Land Records & Surveys, Assam, prior to 13.08.2026.
- Computer Proficiency: Must have proficiency in computer use, with minimum typing speed of 30 WPM in English and 15 WPM in Assamese/Bengali.
- Age Limit: Not less than 21 years and not more than 40 years as on 01.01.2026. Age relaxation for reserved categories is applicable as per Government OM No. ABP.6/2016/51, dated 02.09.2020.
Selection Process & Screening Clause
The selection process is a two-stage competitive examination totaling 100 marks:
- Written Examination (Paper-I): 80 Marks, Objective Type (MCQ) with negative marking (0.25 marks per wrong answer).
- Mathematics (Class X Standard) - 10 Marks
- Conventional Survey - 50 Marks
- Modern Survey - 20 Marks
- Skill Test (Paper-II, Computer Proficiency): 20 Marks, practical test for typing in English and Assamese/Bengali.
Minimum Qualifying Marks:
- UR Category: 40 marks in Written Test & 10 marks in Skill Test.
- OBC/MOBC/STP/STH/SC/PwD (PH) Categories: 32 marks in Written Test & 8 marks in Skill Test.
Candidates are shortlisted for the Skill Test based on Written Exam performance. The final merit list is based on aggregate marks of both tests, subject to clearing minimum qualifying marks and document verification. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the examination.
