Educational Qualification: (i) an M.Sc. degree related to Ecology/Entomology/Wildlife Biology/Agriculture
(ii) experience in conducting field research in the above fields, preferably in highaltitude regions
(iii) demonstrated ability to collect, store and identify insects
(iv) prior experience and an interest in studying plant-insect interactions

It also aims to provide lead in frontier areas of research and pedagogy. Having a huge and challenging mandate, the university started its first academic session in August 2009 and has stood up to the challenges during such a relatively short period of time.
