Eligibility for Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer (MD & CEO)

• Essential Qualification: Graduate in Engineering/Science/Commerce/Finance background with good academic record from a recognized university/institution OR Certificate of Competency as Master (FG)/Dredge Master Grade-I/MEO Class-I/Dredge Engineer Grade-I. A Management/Professional degree from a reputed institution is preferred.
• Experience: 25 years post-educational qualification experience required.
  • Private Sector: 10 years holding a comparable or one level below position with an annual salary of Rs.45 lakhs or above. Must have worked in the preceding last three years in an organization listed on Stock Exchange with a minimum turnover of Rs.800 Cr. per annum. Must have worked in the position of Executive Director or equivalent/Senior Executive Vice President.
  • PSUs: Minimum 2 years at the scale of E8 (Rs.1,20,000-2,80,000 IDA) or equivalent.
  • Central Govt: At least at Level 13 (Rs.1,23,100-2,15,900) preferably related to Shipping/Navy/Port sector. Director level or equivalent in Govt/Deputy Chairman of Major Ports/Commodore in Indian Navy.
  • Internal Candidates: Minimum 20 years experience and at least 6 years in the Rank of GM/CGM.
• Desirable: Candidates having worked in Shipping, Ports, and Dredging sector would be given due consideration.
• Age Limit: 45 to 58 years (as on 10-10-2025). Internal candidates require 2 years residual service; others require 3 years residual service.

Salary Details

Rs.1,80,000 - 3,20,000. Includes HRA, DA, perks and allowances, Leased Accommodation, Company vehicle, medical benefits, and superannuation benefits. Total CTC: Rs.65 Lakh - Rs.70 Lakh at the minimum of the scale.

Rs.1000/- (Non-refundable) payable online. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD/Ex-Servicemen are exempted from payment of the application fee.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on a Power Point presentation on achievements and plan for the position, followed by an interview.
