Dental Officer: BDS.
Nursing Assistant (General): GNM Diploma / Class-I Nursing Assistant Course.
Dental Assistant/Tech/ Hyg: Diploma Holder.
Pharmacist: B.Pharmacy OR 10+2 with Science Stream.
Lab Technician: B.Sc (Medical Lab Technology)
Driver: 8th Class, Class 1 MT Driver (Armed forces) Posses a civil driving license.
Female Attendant: Literate.
Safaiwala: Literate.
Chowkidar: 8th Class.

About Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS)
The Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) is a flagship healthcare initiative launched by the Government of India to provide quality medical care to ex-servicemen and their dependents. Introduced in April 2003, the scheme operates under the aegis of the Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare, Ministry of Defence. It aims to ensure that retired Armed Forces personnel receive comprehensive medical coverage, including outpatient and inpatient treatment, diagnostic services, and medicines, at par with those available in civil and military hospitals. ECHS functions through a network of polyclinics across India, along with tie-ups with private hospitals and diagnostic centers to expand its reach and accessibility.
The ECHS is contributory in nature, with a one-time subscription based on the rank of the retiree, allowing lifetime membership for beneficiaries. This scheme greatly enhances the post-retirement welfare of armed forces personnel, reducing the burden of medical expenses and ensuring dignified healthcare access. Beneficiaries are issued ECHS smart cards, which are essential for availing services at empaneled facilities. Over the years, the scheme has expanded significantly, both in terms of infrastructure and services, reflecting the government’s commitment to the well-being of its veterans and their families.
