Recruitment Overview

Station Headquarters (ECHS Cell) Dinjan, under the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS), has invited applications for the engagement of Medical, Para Medical & Non-Medical Staff on a contractual basis. This recruitment drive is for posting at the ECHS Polyclinics in Dibrugarh and Tinsukia, Assam for the Financial Year 2026-27.

This is a Direct Recruitment based on an Interview. A total of 14 vacancies are available across various positions, including Medical Officer, Dental Officer, Pharmacist, Nursing Assistant, Driver, and IT Network Technician. The appointment is for a period of 11 months for civilians and one year for Ex-Servicemen (ESMs). Priority will be given to Ex-Servicemen candidates.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification & Experience

• Officer In Charge (OIC) Polyclinic: Graduate + Retd Army/Navy/IAF Officer (pension holder) + 5 Years experience in Health Care/Managerial roles.
• Medical Officer: MBBS + 5 Years experience after internship. Additional qualifications in Medicine/Surgery preferable.
• Dental Officer: BDS + 5 Years work experience. Additional qualifications preferable.
• Laboratory Technician: B.Sc (Medical Lab Tech) OR 10+2 Science + Diploma in Medical Lab Technology + 3 Years experience.
• Pharmacist: B.Pharmacy OR 10+2 Science + Diploma in Pharmacy (PCI Recognized) + Registered under Pharmacy Act 1948 + 3 Years experience.
• Nursing Assistant: GNM Diploma / Class-I Nursing Assistants Course (Armed Forces) + 5 Years experience.
• Clerk / Data Entry Operator: Graduate / Class-I Clerical Trade (Armed Forces) + Minimum 5 Years experience in computer/IT field.
• Safaiwala: Literate + Minimum 5 Years experience.
• Chowkidar: Education Class 8th or GD Trade (Armed Forces) + Minimum 5 Years experience.
• Driver: Class 8th + Class-I MT Driver (Armed Forces) + Civil Driving License + 5 Years experience.
• Female Attendant: Literate + 5 Years experience (No experience required for Veer Naris/War Widows/Widows of ESM).
• IT Network Tech: Diploma/Certificate in IT Networking/Computer App + 2 Years experience. Desirable: Knowledge of IT equipment, software installation.
• Dental Hygienist: Diploma Holder in Dental Hyg / Class-I DH/DORA Course (Armed Forces) + 5 Years experience.
• Data Entry Operator (AMCH): Graduate / Class-I Clerical Trade (Armed Forces) + Minimum 5 Years experience in computer/IT field.

Age Limit

Maximum age limit is applicable as per rules. No specific age limit is mentioned in the notification text, but candidates must be fit for the duties. Age relaxation is likely applicable for Ex-Servicemen as per government norms.

Selection Process

Since this is Direct Recruitment, the selection will be based on the following criteria:

Crucial Note:

• Overlapping & Handing/Taking over period of 10 days is mandatory for key appointments (OIC, MO, DO, Lab Tech, Pharmacist).
• Selected individuals must undergo 10 days On the Job Training (OJT) (unpaid) before assuming charge.
• Annual Property Return (APR) is mandatory for OIC, Dental Officer, and Medical Officer before joining.
