Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Psychiatrist / MBBS Doctor

• Essential: Doctors should be qualified as MBBS and must hold a training certificate in addiction medicine from a recognized institute.

Eligibility for Nurse (ANM)

• Essential: Must have passed EITHER 18/24 months MPHA(F) course conducted in the State (recognized by AP Nursing & Midwives Council). OR Two Years Intermediate Vocational Multi Purpose Health Worker (Female) Course and completed one year Clinical Training in selected Government Hospital. OR Completed one year Apprenticeship Training and awarded "Apprenticeship Completion Certificate".
• Registration: Must be registered in AP Auxiliary Nurse and Midwifery and Health Visitors Council (or A.P. Para Medical Board for Vocational MPHW(F) candidates).
• Note: BSc (Nursing), GNM, and any other qualifications are not eligible.

Eligibility for Counselor

• Essential: Graduate (Degree) in any discipline.
• Experience: 3 years experience in the field.
• Other: Must hold a certificate of 3 months training course in De-addiction counseling by National Institute of Social Defense (NISD) and should have knowledge of English as well as one regional language.

Eligibility for Ward Boy

• Essential: Candidate must pass 8th Class.
• Experience: Preferably experienced in such centers. Ward boy employed in an IRCA must get trained by the National Institute of Social Defense (NISD).

Age Limit (as on 01-07-2025)

• Minimum Age: 18 years.
• OC Candidates: 42 years (Should not be born before 02.07.1983).
• SC, ST & BC Candidates: 47 years (Should not be born before 02.07.1978).
• Ex-Servicemen & PH Categories: 50 years (Should not be born before 02.07.1975).

• OC Candidates: Rs. 250/-
• SC/ST/BC Candidates: Rs. 200/-
• Physically Challenged Candidates: Exempted

Selection Process

The selection of candidates will be made purely based on merit following the Rule of Reservation.

• Weightage: 90 marks based on merit obtained in qualifying examination.
• Seniority: 10 marks for seniority from the year of passing qualifying examination (1 mark for each completed year after acquiring requisite qualification).
