The Office of the Conservator of Forest, Plantation, Research & Evaluation, Jharkhand, Ranchi, under the Department of Forest, Environment & Climate Change, Government of Jharkhand, invites eligible candidates for a walk-in interview to fill 6 temporary project posts under Advertisement No. R-1/2026-27. The appointments are for the project "Identifications and mapping of Candidate Plus Trees and Seed Production Areas of indigenous tree species in Jharkhand and subsequent establishment of seed testing lab and seed processing Unit (CPT's)", which has a project period of 4 years.

Post-Wise Vacancy & Pay Scale

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Research Associate:
  • Essential: M.Sc. in Agriculture (Seed Science & Technology / Plant Breeding) OR M.Sc. in Forestry / M.Sc. in Botany with experience in Seed Science & Technology. First Class or 60% marks or equivalent overall GPA. Candidates with 3-year bachelor's + 2-year master's must have UGC/CSIR/ICAR/ICFRE NET or Ph.D. in the above disciplines.
  • Desirable: 4-year work experience in R&D in seed testing labs or seed processing units; experience working with forest communities; drafting research articles and reports; computer applications.
• Senior Project Associate:
  • Essential: M.Sc. in Agriculture (Seed Science & Technology / Plant Breeding) OR M.Sc. in Forestry / M.Sc. in Botany with experience in Seed Science & Technology. First Class or 60% marks or equivalent grade.
  • Desirable: 2-year work experience in R&D in seed testing labs or seed processing units; understanding of forestry application and data compilation.
• Project Associate:
  • Essential: B.Sc. in Agriculture OR B.Sc. in Forestry OR B.Sc. in Botany.
  • Desirable: Experience in seed collection, field data recording, computer operations, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Lab Technician:
  • Essential: B.Sc. in Agriculture OR B.Sc. in Forestry OR B.Sc. in Botany.
  • Desirable: Work experience in laboratory analysis of samples & data, data recording, analysis, and computer knowledge.

Other Conditions: Candidates must be medically fit to work in forest areas of Jharkhand. Proficiency in MS Office may be an added benefit.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

1. Candidates will appear before a selection committee for an interview.
2. A qualifying written test may be conducted prior to the interview if the number of eligible candidates is large. The syllabus and marking scheme for such a test are not described in the notice.
