Educational Qualification:
General Manager (Mines): BE (Mining) from a Recognized university/Institutes of UGC/AICTE and first-class Mines Manager Certificate of Competency (Coal) from DGMS.
Deputy General Manager (Mines): BE (Mining) and first-class Mines Manager Certificate of Competency (Coal) from DGMS.
Manager (Mines): BE (Mining) and first-class Mines Manager Certificate of Competency (Coal) from DGMS.
Experience:
General Manager (Mines): 20 Years of post-qualification experience in managing/Operating coal mines of which not less than 02 years should be in the position of Addl. General Manager/Dy. General Manager/ Chief Manager or equivalent with a minimum of 12 years experience as first-class Mines Manager in a mechanized open cast coal mine having a capacity of 3.0 MTPA with experience in coal mines planning, development, and operation of a mechanized open cast coal mine, having up to the date knowledge of rules and regulations and experience in dealing with regulatory authorities on operational and statutory compliances.
Deputy General Manager (Mines): 15 Years of post-qualification experience in Managing/Operating coal mines of which a minimum of 10 years experience as a first-class Mines Manager in Mechanized open cast coal mine having a capacity of 3.0 MTPA with Experience in coal mine planning, development, and operation of Mechanized open cast coal mine, having up to date knowledge of rules and regulations and experience in dealing with regulatory authorities on operational and statutory compliance.
Manager (Mines): At least 05 years post qualification experience of working in open-cast coal Mines with knowledge of coal mine planning and operation of mechanized open-cast coal mines along with up to the date knowledge of mining rules and regulations.
Pay Scale:
INR
55600 - 209500(Per Month)
Age Limit: Maximum 55 years.

The Company was promoted by erstwhile Gujarat Electricity Board (GEB) as it's wholly owned subsidiary in the context of liberalization and as a part of efforts towards restructuring of the Power Sector. The Memorandum and Articles of Association of GSECL envisage a wide spectrum of activities to improve the electricity infrastructure of Gujarat. GSECL has initiated its activities in the field of Generation of Power.
