Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility for Work Assistant, Class-3
- Essential Qualification: Candidates must possess Diploma in Civil Engineering obtained from Technical Examination Board or any of the Universities or Institutions established or incorporated by or under the Central or State Act in India; or any other educational institutions recognised as such or declared as deemed to be a University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; OR possess an equivalent qualification recognised by the Government.
Important Note: Candidates holding Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering are NOT eligible to apply. - Equivalent Qualifications: Diploma in Civil and Rural Engineering, Civil Draftsman, Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering and Planning, Civil Engineering (Building Service Engineering), Civil Engineering (Construction Technology), Civil Engineering (Construction), Civil Engineering (Rural Engineering), Civil Technology, Construction Engineering, Construction Technology, Construction Technology and Management, Quantity Surveying and Construction Management, Survey Engineering, Transportation Engineering.
- Computer Knowledge: Basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967 is required.
- Language Knowledge: Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both is required.
- Citizenship: Candidate must be a citizen of India or possess nationality as per the provisions of Rule-7 of Gujarat Civil Service Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years

🎯 Selection Process
Selection will be based on a one-stage competitive examination through MCQ type Computer Based Response Test (CBRT) / OMR method. The examination consists of:
- Part-A (90 Marks): Reasoning & Data Interpretation, Quantitative Aptitude, Constitution of India, Current Affairs, Gujarati and English Comprehension.
- Part-B (120 Marks): Questions related to technical qualification and its applications.
- Total Time: 3 hours (180 minutes).
- Negative Marking: 1/4 mark deducted for each wrong answer.
- Qualifying Marks: 40% for both Part-A and Part-B separately.
