Educational Qualification: MBA/PGDM, M.Phil/Ph.D

1. Name of the Post: Research Assistant - Marketing Area

2. Responsibilities: This is a research position in an academic setting. You will assist with:

a) Data collection, data preparation, and data analysis - working on primary/secondary data using qualitative/ quantitative methods

b) Conducting in-depth interviews and FGDs

c) Literature search, summary, presentation, and writing

d) Writing research proposal and conducting research

e) Other research-related work

3. Skills and Qualifications: Highly motivated candidates with an MBA degree or equivalent from any of the top-tier colleges in the country/ abroad with an understanding of research and interest in pursuing a Ph.D. in Marketing. Candidates must have -

a) An MBA or equivalent (we are specifically looking for someone with a management degree)

b) An open mind to learning new concepts, creativity, and hard work

c) Good English writing skills

d) Primary data collection skills – qualitative and surveys. Exposure to tools like NVivo, QDA Miner, Qualtrics, etc will be a plus

e) Data handling and analysis skills in STATA, R, etc. will be a plus

f) The candidate must have high standards in terms of quality of work, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and absolute commitment to task completion.

4. Contract Duration: The position is contractual for 11 months and can be renewed for a further period of 11 months, subject to satisfactory work, enabling the candidate to build up their profile for Ph.D. applications. Candidates are expected to move on into a Ph.D. at the end of two terms.
