Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, is a premier central autonomous Institution for higher education and research in the field of science & engineering, under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Keeping its tradition of contribution to the nation building, it has successfully completed a century of its existence. It has put in place several new infrastructures (buildings & equipment), interdisciplinary programs, and brilliant faculties.

a. It has embarked on a mission to become a world leader in advanced education and research. The Institute is seeking applications from individuals for the following post to be filled on contract/deputation on Foreign Service basis on standard terms and conditions of the Government of India.

1. Post Name: Deputy Project Engineer (CIVIL)

2. No: of Post: 01

3. Pay scale: Level-12 in 7th CPC

4. Educational Qualifications: M.E./M. Tech in Civil Engineering with 55% marks.

5. Experience: 8 years of experience as APE or an equivalent post in Govt/Autonomous bodies/PSU with a Grade Pay of Rs. 5400/-. However, those serving/served as Assistant Project Engineer on regular employment or on deputation at the institute for at least 8 years with M.E/M.Tech and exemplary service record can also apply [Age limit not applicable]. In case of contract appointment, those having at least 8 years of experience in relevant field as Senior level Engineer for infrastructure development/management in private sector such as corporate/private industries or reputed infrastructure firms or builders/institutions can also apply.

6. Desirable: Experience in development or operation or maintenance of a modern academic or corporate or similar infrastructure. Familiarity with modern practices in civil constructions and electrical power systems.

7. Deputation can be considered from the officers from the Central/ State Governments or Institute of national importance or Universities/ University level institution or PSU holding analogous post, and possessing educational qualification and experience as prescribed above.
