Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Nationality: Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.
• Psychiatric Social Worker (PSW):
  • Essential Qualification: M. Phil in Psychiatric Social Work
  • Desirable Qualification: One year of relevant experience
• Age Limit: Maximum 45 years as on the last date of receipt of application (28.10.2026). Relaxation as per GoI norms.

Salary & Benefits Structure

• Consolidated Pay: Rs. 48,000/- per month
• Except for the consolidated and fixed emoluments, no other benefits (PF, Pension, Medical Allowance, Seniority & Promotion) will be extended.
• An increment of up to 10% is admissible in case of extension, based on candidate performance and the recommendation of the Chairperson of the Wellness Centre.
• Accommodation: Hostel accommodation will be provided on the IISc campus during the course of the candidate's stay.
• Contract Duration: Initially 1 year, renewable annually up to a maximum of 5 years. Terminable at any time with one month's notice by either side.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

• The selection process consists of two stages:
  1. Shortlisting of Applications: Applications will be screened based on eligibility and qualifications.
  2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview, which may be conducted in person or via electronic mode (Zoom Call / Microsoft Teams). Candidates must be prepared to give interviews in all media if required.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending an in-person interview.
