Applications are invited from eligible candidates to attend virtual interview (online through video conferencing) for the temporary positions of Research Associate /Senior Research Fellows/ Junior Research Fellows/ Project Associates/ Technical Assistant/ Field Worker as detailed below
1. Project title: CSIR-Towards product development in rice using mutants that have traits of agronomic importance: FBR-Phase-II
2. Post: Research Associate (One Position)
3. Duration: Initially for one year and likely to be extendable
4. Essential Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Agricultural Biotechnology/Plant breeding/Genetics/Biotechnology OR M.Sc. in Biotechnology/M.Sc. in any Life sciences with 8 years of minimum research experience in plant breeding, plant molecular biology and conducting the field experiments of agricultural crops preferably rice.
5. Desirable Qualifications: Research experience in Genomics/molecular characterization of advanced breeding lines/mutants, experience in molecular breeding, evaluation of material for various biotic stresses, marker development, validation of markers and NGS analysis.
6. Emoluments: Rs. 49000+24% HRA

2. Post: Junior Research Fellow (Three positions)
3. Duration: Initially for one year and likely to be extendable
4. Essential Qualifications:
i. P.G. in basic sciences (Biotechnology/Life Science/Biochemistry/ Botany) with three years’ bachelor’s degree with NET qualification. Or 2.P.G. in professional sciences (M.Tech. Biotechnology/M.Sc. Biotechnology) with 3 years’ bachelor’s degree and 2 years’ master degree or 4 years’ bachelor’s degree with 2 years’ master degree
ii. P.G. in Agriculture sciences (Biotechnology/Genetics/Plant breeding/Biochemistry/Microbiology/Entomology/Pathology) with four years of bachelor’s degree and two years’ master degree Or 4.Ph.D. submitted in Agril. Sciences/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Natural sciences/Life Sciences/ Botany with experience in biotechnology.
5. Desirable Qualifications: Research experience in phenotypic and molecular characterization of advanced breeding lines for various biotic stresses and Plant Molecular biology
6. Emoluments: 31000+24% HRA

2. Post: Technical Assistant(Three positions)
3. Duration: Initially for one year and likely to be extendable
4. Essential Qualifications: Degree in any life science/Diploma in Agriculture with good knowledge of field operations and computer applications.
5. Emoluments: 20000 (Consolidated)
6. F. No: CSIR/Project Staff/2022
Pay Scale: INR 20000 - 49000(Per Month)
