Skills / Eligibility
Institute invites applications from Indian nationals having excellent academic record for the following positions: 1. Post Name: Research Associate (RA) 2. No. of Post: 01 3. Minimum Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in Physics / Chemistry / Material Science / Nanotechnology Candidates who have submitted their thesis may also apply. 4. Preference: PhD Thesis focussed on Lithium-ion or other advance battery chemistries Good hands-on experience on battery research and development; such as Designing / developing novel cathode / anode materials, coin cell level development and analysis and testing, advanced electrochemical characterization and analysis (electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry etc.). with some exposure to pouch cell fabrication will be preferred. 5. Job requirements Incumbent is expected to design and develop novel active materials in line with the target battery performance parameters of the project. Active materials will be subjected to testing in half cell and full cell conditions as per the testing protocol of the project. 6. Tenure of the appointment Initially for a period of six months, extendable for further period subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbent and continuation of the project. 7. Consolidated emoluments Rs. 60,000/- per month Candidates who have submitted their thesis, but not completed defense (i.e. candidates without a provisional certificate of having qualified for the degree), will be designated ass Senior Research Fellow (SRF) and paid Rs. 45,000/- per month till the time of submission of Provisional Ph.D. certificate.
