Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram is a premier autonomous Institution established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, for promotion of high quality science education and research in the country. The Institute invites applications for the following positions on contract basis:

1. Name of the Post: Junior Research Fellow/ Project Assistant

2. No of Post: 01

3. Name of Project: Quasi-optimality of adaptive finite element methods for elliptic optimal control problems

4. Minimum Educational qualification ( as prescribed by the funding agency): Masters Degree (Mathematics/Computer science) with CSIR-UGC Net/Gate or Selection to Masters Degree in Professional course through National level examinations conducted by DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc If a suitable candidate is not found, candidates with a first class Master’s degree in Mathematical/Computer Sciences (awarded) as mentioned above may be considered.

5. Fellowship amount: Rs.31,000+HRA(for JRF), Rs.25,000 + HRA (for Project Assistant)

6. Tenure of the post: Initial contract for 6 months and extendable based on the performance of the candidate.
