IIT Bhilai Invites Application for Senior Research Fellow Recruitment 2022

Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the position of ‘Senior Research Fellow’ in a DST funded research project with following details:

1. Title of the project: Design and development of a multi-purpose test instrument for analyzing performance of thermal protective clothing and determining second-degree burn time for skin at different orientations

2. Name of the position: Senior Research Fellow

3. Number of Positions: 01

4. Essential qualifications:

a. BE/BTech (or equivalent Degree) in Mechanical/Production/Aerospace/Automobile/Textile Engineering from a recognized institute/university or statutory body or equivalent degree with minimum of 60% aggregate score (6.5 grade points on a scale of 10). For SC/ST category, the candidate must have secured a minimum of 55% aggregate score (6.0 grade points on a scale of 10).

b. Candidate with BE/BTech should have 2 years of experience. Should have qualified through GATE or CSIR-UGC NET

c. ME/MTech from a recognized institute/university or statutory body or equivalent degree after BE/BTech (or equivalent Degree) in Mechanical/Production/Aerospace/Automobile/Textile Engineering with minimum of 60% aggregate score (6.5 grade points on a scale of 10).

d. For SC/ST category, the candidate must have secured a minimum of 55% aggregate score (6.0 grade points on a scale of 10). Should have qualified through GATE or CSIR-UGC NET.

5. Desirable: Preference will be given to candidates with working experience relevant to the project. Candidates with one or more of the followings skills are strongly encouraged to apply:

a. Strong coding skill: C/C++ or MATLAB or Fortran etc.

b. Knowledge of heat transfer/fluid mechanics and related simulation work

c. Experiments in handling and development of instrument related to heat transfer and textile testing

6. Salary: Rs. 35,000/- per month + HRA (as applicable)

7. Duration: One year or up to the termination of the project, subject to half-yearly performance review.

Selection Procedure

Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview and no TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
