Educational Qualification: B.Tech/B.E, M.E/M.Tech

IIT Dharwad is an Institute of National Importance created by an Act of Parliament in 2016. IIT Dharwad has been steadily establishing its operations in its present campus while at the same time, master plan development and construction of permanent campus infrastructure are also in progress. To cater the Institute’s temporary requirement under a project in the Global Centre of Excellence in Affordable and Clean Energy; IIT Dharwad intends to hold Online Selection Process for the following temporary position:

1. Post Name: Project Associate I (On Contract)

2. No. of Post: 2

3. Essential Qualification: Post Graduate or Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent selected through a process described through any one of the following:

a. Scholars who are selected through GATE or

b. The Selection process through National level examination conducted by IIT

4. Desirable Qualification Strong soft skills, including knowledge and experience in the solar, wind, PV emulators/simulators, operations, installations of manufacturing machines such as 3D printer or sheet metal cutting or operations & maintenance of hardware-in-loop equipment.

5. Consolidated Emoluments *₹ 31,000/-+ 16% House Rent Allowance per month

6. Duration of the tenure Until 31st March 2022

7. Tenure of appointment The appointment for the above contractual position may be curtailed or extended based on the availability of funds in the project and requirement in the project.

8. Candidates who do not satisfy 3a or 3b, will receive consolidated emoluments of ₹25,000/-+ 16% HRA per month

9. Project Code and Title: GCoE-ACE (Phase-I) establishment of laboratories

10. Job Description: (i) to help install the laboratory equipment,

(ii) to liaise with the workshop staff and mechanic for installation,

(iii) to help maintain the fabrication lab, skill development laboratory,

(iv) to help organize the hand-tools, carpentry tools etc,

(v) knowledge and use of MS office, Excel and windows operating system.
