Educational Qualification:
1) Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or allied branches with 60% marks or CPI 6/10 or equivalent. (55% marks or CPI 5.5/10 or equivalent for SC/ST). OR Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or allied branches with 70% marks or CPI 7/10 or equivalent. (65% marks or CPI 6.5/10 or equivalent for SC/ST)
2) Qualified GATE SCORE in the relevant streams (B. Tech/ B.E. applicants must have a valid GATE Scorecard if none of the following is satisfied) OR B. Tech/Dual degree from IIT with a CPI/CGPA of 8.0 or more. OR B. Tech/ B.E. applicants with at least 2 years of relevant work experience.

Selection Procedure

Indian Institute of Technology Goa (IIT Goa) is a premier engineering and technology university located in Goa. The new Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) at Goa has started functioning from July 2016 in a temporary campus housed at Goa Engineering College (GEC) Campus located at Farmagudi, Goa. It offers B.Tech courses in three core branches namely Electrical, Computer Science and Mechanical.
As part of the mentorship plan, IIT-Bombay would be the mentor for IIT-Goa.
