Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
- Chief Technical Officer (CTO) – Education: PhD in Engineering from an institute or university ranked within the top 25 in the NIRF Engineering category.
- Chief Technical Officer (CTO) – Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience after award of the PhD degree in Research / Scientific / Technical services.

Selection Process & Screening Clause
The selection for the Chief Technical Officer position at IIT Hyderabad will be carried out in the following stages:
- Stage 1 – Screening Committee Shortlisting: Applications will be reviewed by the Screening Committee. Candidates meeting the prescribed eligibility criteria (PhD in Engineering from a top-25 NIRF-ranked institute and minimum 2 years post-PhD experience) will be shortlisted.
- Stage 2 – Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview / technical interaction to assess their suitability for the role.
