IIT-ISM Invites Application for Junior Research Fellow Recruitment 2022

Applications are invited under the sponsored project. The details of the project are as under:

1. Post Name: Junior Research fellow

2. Number of Position (s): 01

3. Title of The Project: Investigation of single-particle structures in pygmy resonances in nuclei and development of a gamma-neutron detector for its study

4. Principal Investigator: Dr. Soumya Bagchi, Department of Physics ([email protected])

5. Tenure of Project: 2 years

6. Essential Qualification: Candidates must be holders of M.Sc. or equivalent in Physics with 1st class. Candidates having GATE/NET fellowships will be preferred.

7. Desirable Qualification: Good knowledge of fundamentals in physics and in nuclear/particle physics and radiation detection methods. Candidates with prior experience of working in these domains will be given preference. Good programming skills in C++/Python/ROOT.

8. Fellowship : Rs. 31000/- per month + HRA (if applicable @ 18%)

Selection Procedure

1. Shortlisted candidates will be informed on the date of interview.

2. Mere possession of minimum qualification does not guarantee an invitation to the interview.

3. Candidates will be short listed based on their merit and as per the requirement of the project.

4. All candidates should make their own arrangements for their stay at Dhanbad, if required. No TA/DA will be paid to attend the interview.
