  • Educational Qualification: Master's degree in Economics with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed).
  • Research Degree: An eminent scholar having a Ph.D. degree in Economics with published work of high quality, actively engaged in research.
  • Experience: Minimum of ten (10) years of teaching experience in University / Research Institutions / Colleges as Assistant Professor / Associate Professor / Professor, and/or research experience at an equivalent level at the University / National Level Institutions, with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidates.
  • Publications: Minimum of ten (10) research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals, of which at least 7 papers must be in Scopus-listed journals, and a total research score of 120 as per UGC 2018 guidelines.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Expertise in monetary and financial economics with proficiency in application of Econometrics, banking and real sector issues, inflation management, and balance of payment issues.
  • Adaptation of digital technology in research and teaching.
  • Contribution to educational innovation, curriculum design, and technology-mediated teaching-learning process.
  • Evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students.
  • Preference for candidates up to or below 58 years of age as on the date of notification.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • All applications shall be authenticated and evaluated by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as per the IQAC regulatory panel and Assessment Committee approved by the Board of ISEC.
  • API scoring pattern for direct recruitment to be used by IQAC as specified in IQAC regulations passed by the Academic Council and approved by the Board — a total research score of 120 as per criteria given in Table 1 of UGC guidelines 2018.
  • All shortlisted candidates appearing for the Interview shall be required to make a 30-minute presentation before the Faculty members of the Institute.
  • Candidates currently working in a Government / Semi-Government / Public Sector Undertaking who have not forwarded their application through the proper channel must produce a No Objection Certificate from their present employer at the time of the Preliminary Interview.
  • No TA/DA will be paid to candidates appearing for the interview/presentation.
  • Mere fulfilment of essential and desirable qualifications will not entitle an applicant to be called for consideration.
