Educational Qualification: B.Sc
For the position of Field Assistant (FA) in the following research project purely on temporary basis and co-terminus with the project period or till completion of eligible period as per ICFRE norms.
1. Name of the project: Formulation of Strategies for Conservation of Mangrove in Visakhapatnam District, Andhra Pradesh
2. Name of the temporary Position(s): Field Assistant (FA) (Required from January 2022 to March 2024)
3. No. of Post: 01
4. Emoluments (fixed) per month Rs: Rs. 17000/- pm
5. Essential: First Class B.Sc. in Botany
6. Desirable:
(i) One year research / field experience in relevant filed.
(ii) Plant identification capability.
(iii) Capable of extensive touring in coastal regions.
(iv) Knowledge of handlining computer (MS Office Applications, Data Entry) and statistics will be given preference

The Forest Research Centre (FRC), Hyderabad was established in the year 1997 under the administrative control of Institute of Wood Science and Technology (IWST), Bangalore . The centre was initially known as 'Advanced Centre for Biotechnology and Mangrove Forests'. The was upgraded as the Institute of Forest Biodiversity (IFB) during December 2012. The jurisdiction of the institute is the Eastern Ghats for Forest Biodiversity and Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Goa.
IFB has following Divisions: Forest Biodiversity, Genetic Resources, Climate Change and Biodiversity, Forest Ecology, Microbial Biodiversity and Forest Protection, Conservation Biology, Extension and Publicity (ICTS).
