4. Eligibility Criteria

A. Educational Qualification

• Essential: First Class Post Graduate Degree, including integrated PG Degrees in:
  • Chemistry
  • Biotechnology
  • Biological Sciences
  • Pharmaceutical Sciences
  • Material Science / Polymer / Nanotechnology
• Desirable Experience:
  • Qualified in GATE / GPAT / CSIR-UGC-NET (including lectureship).
  • Experience in Hydrogel / Cell culture / Animal Handling / Peptide and Organic Synthesis / Polymers / PCR handling.
  • Experience in scientific writing (peer-reviewed publications).

B. Age Limit & Relaxation

• Maximum Age: 35 years.
• Age as on: 25.02.2026.
• Relaxation: Age relaxable for reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PwD) as per Govt. of India rules.

5. Selection Process (Direct Recruitment)

Since this is a project-based position, there is no written competitive examination.

1. Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on qualifications and experience.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an Online Interview.

6. Job Profile

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Design and synthesis of peptide-polymer conjugated hydrogels.
• Mechanical and physicochemical characterization of hydrogels.
• In vitro biological evaluation to study cell-scaffold interactions.
• Travel: Willingness to travel to IIT Kanpur for in vivo animal model experimental studies.
