Applications are invited by the HOD, Department of Medical Oncology, JAWAHARLAL INSTITUTE OF POSTGRADUATE MEDICAL EDUCATION AND RESEARCH (JIPMER), Puducherry, from candidates fulfilling the following eligibility conditions to work as “Data Entry Operator” on contract basis. 1. Post Name: Data Entry Operator 2. No. of Post: 01 3. Selected candidate will be engaged on a contract basis in a project titled: Network of Oncology Clinical Trial India (NOCI) supported for funding by Biotechnology Institute of Research Assistance Council, (BIRAC), Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. 4. Nature Of Work: Entry of patient level data into an online database Maintenance of the records in the department Data entry error checking 5. Eligibility Criteria: Graduation in life sciences (PROOF MUST BE SUBMITTED) 1- year experience in data entry (PROOF MUST BE SUBMITTED) Knowledge of Microsoft word, Excel, Email Work in medical field /hospital environment for at least 6 months(PROOF MUST BE SUBMITTED) 6. Desirable: Data entry of patient level databases Clinical trial experience Cancer patient data entry experience 7. Contractual Remuneration : Rs. 17,000/- (consolidated ) per month 8. Evaluation criteria: After evaluation of the application form, candidates will be called for a written test/ skill evaluation followed by interview.

Selection Procedure
1. Selection will be based on CV and application, written test/ skill test and interview.
2. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for Interview.

Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) can trace its origins to the ‘Ecole de Medicine de Pondicherry’ established by the French Government in 1823. In 1956 foundation for new medical college was laid and in 1964, hospital was inaugurated. JIPMER became an institution of national importance under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India in the year 2008. It is an institution established for teaching, research and patient care in the area of health. JIPMER spreads over 192 acres. The institution houses one administrative block, one academic centre, one nursing college, seven hospital blocks, seven accessory services buildings and four residential complexes. 12 broad types of medical, nursing and allied health science courses covering all disciplines in healthcare from basic to super speciality training are conducted.
Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) is a medical school located in Pondicherry. JIPMER imparts undergraduate and postgraduate medical training & has a working hospital which provides inexpensive medical care to patients. Undergraduate courses include MBBS, BSc (Medical Laboratory Technology), BMRSc (Bachelor of Medical Record Science). BSc (Nursing). Postgraduate courses like MD, MS, and a diploma in many specialties, MSc in Medical Biochemistry and Ph.D. in several subjects. Super-specialty courses include MCh in cardiothoracic surgery, urology, neurosurgery, plastic surgery, pediatric surgery, gastrointestinal surgery and DM in cardiology, neurology, urology, neonatology, clinical pharmacology and immunohematology.
