Kala Academy Goa invites applications for filling up following posts of Visiting Faculty on lecture basis on consolidated salary 1. Post Name: Visiting Faculty 2. No. of Post: 03 3. The requirement for the post of Teacher in Violin and Piano are as under : Xth year of Kala Academy’s Course or equivalent from any other institution, with specialisation in Violin/Guitar/Piano/Singing or other subjects implemented in the Academy or course of General musicianship subjects i.e. Solfeggio/Theory/Choral Singing & String ensemble OR Passed ATCL/Dip. ABRSM or Advanced Certificate of ABRSM in the subject instrument Passed Grade VI Theory of Music examination of ABRSM/TCL. Sent students who have successfully passed Grade I to Grade V in ABRSM/TCL. OR Two years teaching experience in the subject instrument. Secondary School Certificate or equivalent. Certificate of fifteen years residence in Goa. Knowledge of Konkani. 4. Desirable : Knowledge of Marathi

The Kala Academy Goa was established by the Govt.of Goa on 28th February 1970 under the Registration of Societies Act, 1860 bearing Reg.No 264 with the approval of Govt. of India, Ministry of Art & Culture, as an apex body to develop Music, Dance, Drama, Fine Art, Folk Art, Literature etc. and thereby promote cultural unity of this State. Kala Academy Goa has a distinctive character of imparting training through its various faculties besides organizing on regular basis, festivals, competitions, exhibitions, workshops, seminars, discussions and debates, performances and taking up schemes and activities for preservation of traditional art forms.
The Academy functions under the overall tutelage of 28 member General Council consisting of persons drawn from various cultural fields and is assisted by a 14 member Executive Board Besides having Advisory Committees for Indian Music, Dance, Western Music, Folk Art, Literature, Drama, (Theater Art), Tiatr, Visual Art/ Fine Art, Film, Vision, Stage Craft, Service matters and School of Drama. This institution is fully funded by the Govt. of Goa.
