Junior Operator (Fire)

Number of Vacancy: 18 Posts

Educational Qualification: Candidates Should have 12th Pass with 50% marks or equal grade. For House evictee candidates only pass mark is required. Desirable Qualification: Basic Training Certificate/equivalent certificate based on ICAO syllabus in Airport Fire Fighting.

Driving License: Valid Light Motor Vehicle License. Note: Candidates should able to obtain HMV License within one year of appointment.

Physical Fitness:
Applicant shall meet all following physical and medical requirements:

Height: Not less than 167 cms. (For candidates from evictee category height not less than 165 cms. Female candidates height not less than 162 cms)

Chest: Normal 81cm across nipple with Minimum 5cm expansion (for male candidates)

Weight: Not less than 55 Kg (for female candidates 45kg)

Eyesight: Distance Vision - 6/6 at both eyes without glasses. Near Vision – N-5 in both eyes without glasses (Visual evaluation is for each eye individually).
Colour Vision - should be normal as determined by Ischihara’s Charts

Hearing and Speech: Normal.

Disqualification:
Physical deformity, chronic diseases, colour blindness, night blindness, squint eye, flat foot, bow legs, knocking knee and refractive error will be considered as disqualification. Must not have undergone major operation by virtue of which his physical fitness to work in fire service has been impaired. Should be capable of undergoing physical strain for prolonged periods.

25000/- Per Month

Age Limit: Maximum 24 Years.

Selection Procedure: Selection process will be based on Written test, Physical test, Skill test and Interview. If the number of eligible candidates is more than 100 Nos., a written test will be conducted for shortlisting candidates for the Physical test. Written test may be exempted for candidates with BTC/equivalent qualifications. Qualifying mark in written test will be 50% of maximum mark for all candidates other than candidates from house evictee category.

Application Fee: A non-refundable application fee of Rs 500/- will be payable by all applicants other than the evictee category applicants.
