Recruitment Overview

The Agricultural Research Station (ARS), Thiruvalla, functioning under the Kerala Agricultural University (KAU), has released a recruitment notification for the engagement of Casual Labourers. Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification

• Minimum: 4th Standard Pass.
• Maximum: 10th Standard Pass.
• Important Note: Candidates with higher education (above 10th standard) are not eligible to apply.

2. Age Limit (as of January 1, 2025)

• Minimum Age: 18 Years.
• Maximum Age: 36 Years.
• Age Relaxation:
  • SC/ST: 5 Years relaxation.
  • OBC: 3 Years relaxation.

3. Residency Requirement

Applicants must be permanent residents within the Block Panchayat/Municipality/Corporation where the Research Station is located, OR within a 5 km radius of the Agricultural Research Station, Thiruvalla.

4. Mandatory Requirements

• Residency Certificate from the Village Officer is mandatory.
• Experience Certificate: Existing contract/daily wage workers or SHG members seeking benefits must provide a certificate from the Head of the Station proving at least 6 months of agriculture-related work. (Construction or office work experience is not eligible for benefits).

Selection Procedure

The selection process does not involve a written exam. Candidates will be shortlisted based on the following stages:

1. Physical Fitness Test (Screening Test): Candidates must be physically fit for labor work.
2. Skill Test: Assessment of relevant skills determined by the University.
3. Interview: Personal interview of shortlisted candidates.
