Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification

• Essential: Master’s degree (M.Sc) in the concerned discipline recognized by Kerala Agricultural University with a minimum of 55% marks.
• NET Requirement: Must have qualified NET (National Eligibility Test).
• Relaxation: In the absence of NET qualified candidates, applicants with a Ph.D or Master’s degree in the concerned discipline (recognized by KAU) will be considered.
• Desirable: Teaching experience in the concerned discipline.

2. Age Limit

• Maximum Age: 40 years.
• Cut-off Date: Age is calculated as of 01.01.2026.
• Relaxation: Age relaxation is applicable as per existing Government rules for eligible candidates (SC/ST/OBC/PH).

Selection Process

Since this is a contract-based recruitment, the selection does not involve a written exam. The selection is based on the following:

1. Walk-in-Interview: Candidates must attend the interview physically.
2. Document Verification: Verification of original certificates for age, qualification, caste, and experience.

Note: No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

Terms and Conditions

• Contract Period: The appointment is purely provisional for a period of one year or until regular hands are appointed, whichever is earlier.

• Agreement: Selected candidates must execute an agreement on stamp paper worth Rs. 200/-.
• Termination: The University reserves the right to terminate the appointment if performance is unsatisfactory.
