Requirement of the candidate on fixed term contract basis in Konkan Railway Corporation Limited, for the work related to Udhampur –Srinagar- Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) Project, Jammu & Kashmir (U.T)
Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL) is a Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Railways having its Corporate Office at CBD Belapur, Navi Mumbai and Project Head Office at Satyam Complex, Marble Market, Extension- Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, Jammu & Kashmir (U.T). KRCL invites applications for the following fixed term contract post on fixed remuneration basis for USBRL Project to be operated in the Jammu and Kashmir (U.T).
1. Name of the Post: Officer on Special Duty(Protocol)/ J&K [OSD(Protocol)/ J&K]
2. Fixed Remuneration (In Rupees): 47600
3. No. of Post: 01
4. Professional Qualification and Experience.
a. Qualification: 03- Years regular Bachelors degree from recognized institution in any discipline or its equivalence.
b. Experience: At least 03 - years experience in the field of Protocol duty dealing with top management officials in Central / Sate Govt / PSU’s and Reputed Private Companies.
c. Desirable: The candidates having knowledge in the field of Civil Construction work. Preference will be given to candidates retired from Railways / Military / Defence services and having experience in dealing higher management officials.
5. Posting: The selected candidates will be posted in USBRL Project, J&K and transferred anywhere in the area of operation of KRCL, including any of its Project site

Selection Procedure
1. The candidates shall arrive on time at the venue and get registered with the nominated KRCL official for the walk-in-interview as indicated.
2. The candidate will be interviewed by a nominated Committee and the selection will be finalized on merit based on the performance in the interview, qualification etc. All the eligible candidates will be first interviewed by a nominated Committee and the shortlist panel will be prepared. The shortlisted candidates who are found suitable will be engaged subject to found suitable in the prescribed Medical Examination.
3. The decision of the Nominated Committee will be final and binding.

The Konkan Railway was the missing link between India’s commercial capital, Mumbai, and Mangalore. The 741-kilometre line connects Maharashtra, Goa and Karnataka States — a region of criss-crossing rivers, plunging valleys and mountains that soar into the clouds.
The Konkan is a coastal strip of land bounded by the Sahyadri hills on the east, and Arabian Sea on the west.
