Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Jaora, ratlam intends to focus on establishing close linkages with farmers, farm women and industries for delivery of goods and services. They will be acquainted with scientific know-how, value addition, income generation for productivity enhancement of farm produce. Diversification of agriculture shall be promoted through livestock farming i.e. dairy farming, piggery, goatry, poultry farming and apiculture for enhancement of farmers’ income. Value addition of farm produce shall also be promoted for entrepreneurship development among women farmers. Self Help Groups will also be formed for women empowerment. Impetus will be given for enhancing fish production by composite fish culture and integrated fish farming. Besides this, ornamental fish farming shall also be developed and promoted. Non-conventional feed resources will be utilized through cost effective methods to enhance livestock productivity.

Special efforts will be initiated for farm women and youth for skill development and income generation. Experiential laboratory and demo units will be established for providing hands on training experience to the farmers. Nutrition gardening such as Hydroponics, Terrace gardening and other techniques will be promoted as the agricultural land is on decline in the district due to urbanization. Efforts will also be initiated in the direction to achieve water conservation and crop residue management for maintaining soil health. Different villages shall be adopted for working with the farmers with respect to transfer of technology and studying their impact on productivity and farm income.
