Note on Reservation: Benefits of reservation are available only to candidates who are domicile of Haryana State.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification

Essential qualifications vary by post. Key requirements include:

• Director of Research & Dean: Doctoral degree in Horticulture + 8 years experience as Professor/equivalent.
• Professor: Doctoral degree in the relevant specialization + 10 years experience (including at least 2 years as Associate Professor).
• Associate Professor: Doctoral degree + 8 years experience as Assistant Professor/Equivalent OR Post-doctoral research with publications (NAAS Rating 7.5+).
• Assistant Professor: Doctoral degree (as per UGC norms).
• Ph.D. Requirements:
  • Candidates registered before July 11, 2009: Must produce certificate fulfilling UGC notification conditions (2 papers, viva, etc.) - Refer Annexure I.
  • Candidates registered on/after July 11, 2009: Must produce certificate of fulfillment of UGC (Minimum Standards) Regulations, 2009 - Refer Annexure II.

2. Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 Years (for all posts).
• Age Calculation Date: Qualification and age will be determined with regard to the closing date for receipt of applications (12.03.2026).
• Proof of Age: Matriculation certificate or equivalent.

3. Mandatory Documents

Candidates must attach self-attested photocopies of:

1. Passport size photograph (pasted on form).
2. Essential Qualification certificates (Degree/Diploma).
3. SC/BCA/BCB/PwBD certificates (if applicable, issued by Haryana Competent Authority).
4. NOC for candidates already in Govt/Quasi-Govt service.
5. Ph.D. compliance certificates (Annexure I or II).

Selection Process

This is a Direct Recruitment based on screening of applications and interviews. There is no written exam mentioned.

Screening & Shortlisting

• The University will screen applications based on eligibility criteria.
• Merit lists will be drawn based on marks obtained in the scorecard/experience.
• Top 15 Candidates: If eligible candidates exceed 15 for a post, only the top 15 will be called for the interview.
• Subsequent Posts: If there are more than 1 post in a discipline, 5 additional candidates per post will be called.
• Tie-Breaker: In case of a tie, the elder candidate shall be given preference.

Interview
