Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
- Educational Qualification: No separate formal educational qualification prescribed.
- Language Proficiency: Must know how to speak Kannada.
- Experience Requirement: Candidates must be working as Underground Drainage Assistant through outsourcing (excluding net wells/STP) and must have been working as such on or before 24 July 2026.

Selection Process & Screening Clause
Selection is done through direct recruitment for vacancies allocated out of the 477 total posts (including 45 allocated to Mangaluru City Corporation) as per the Karnataka Municipal Corporations rules.
- Stage 1: Scrutiny of applications submitted through offline mode by the competent authority.
- Stage 2: Document verification for shortlisted candidates.

- Labour Department Identity Card and Provident Fund (PF) documents in proof of service as Underground Drainage Assistant.
- Discharge certificate from military service for ex-servicemen candidates (if claiming reservation).
- Caste certificate in the prescribed format from the competent authority for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Category-1, Category-2A, Category-2B, Category-3A, and Category-3B candidates (if claiming reservation).
- Rural candidate study certificate in Form-1 and Form-2 (if claiming reservation).
- Kannada medium study certificate from 1st to 10th standard (if claiming reservation).
- Disability certificate issued by the District Medical Board under the specified 2005 government notification (if claiming reservation).
- Project-displaced family certificate issued by the competent authority (if claiming reservation).
- Any other relevant supporting documents for claimed reservations.
