Eligibility Criteria (In-Depth)

1. Educational Qualification

• Master’s Degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in a concerned/relevant/allied discipline from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.
• Qualifying Marks Exemption: A relaxation of 5% marks (from 55% to 50%) is allowed for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled categories.
• NET/SET/SLET/Ph.D.: The candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC/CSIR, or a similar test accredited by UGC (SLET/SET).
  Alternatively, candidates with a Ph.D. Degree (as per UGC Regulations 2009/2016) are exempted from NET/SLET/SET.

Ph.D. Exemption Conditions (If applicable):

Candidates registered for Ph.D. prior to July 11, 2009, or those awarded a Ph.D. degree must fulfill the following:

• Ph.D. awarded in a regular mode.
• Thesis evaluated by at least two external examiners.
• Open Ph.D. viva voce conducted.
• Candidate published at least two research papers from Ph.D. work (at least one in a refereed journal).
• Candidate presented at least two papers based on Ph.D. work in conferences/seminars sponsored by UGC/ICSSR/CSIR.

2. Mandatory Language Requirement (Urdu)

Crucial: As per the University Act, the medium of instruction is Urdu. Knowledge of Urdu is compulsory for all teaching posts.

Candidates must meet any one of the following criteria:

• Studied in an Urdu medium School/Madarsa.
• Studied Urdu as a subject at X, XII/+2/Intermediate, or UG level.
• Studied Urdu as one of the subjects from Central/State Boards (Govt. of India/Madrasa Boards) or NIOS/State Open Schools.
• Holds a UG/PG Degree in Urdu or studied Urdu as a subject from any UGC recognized University.

3. Age Limit

The upper age limit for Guest Faculty is generally 65 years as on the date of the interview. The University reserves the right to relax the age limit for exceptionally qualified candidates.

Selection Process & Walk-in Procedure

This recruitment involves a Walk-in-Interview. There is no written exam.

Selection Stages:

1. Screening: Initial verification of documents and eligibility.
2. Interview: Assessment of teaching aptitude and subject knowledge.
3. Document Verification: Final check of original certificates.
