Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Graduate Trainee (Mines)

  • Essential: B.E./B.Tech in Mining or equivalent from a recognized University/Institute with minimum 60% marks.
  • Experience/Certification: During probation, candidate must submit copy of application to DGMS along with valid Gas testing and First Aid certificate and 1 year's experience in the Company for obtaining 2nd Class Mine Manager’s certificate of competency (unrestricted) under MMR, 1961 DGMS.

Eligibility for Graduate Trainee (Mechanical)

  • Essential: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or equivalent from a recognized University/Institute with minimum 60% marks.

Eligibility for Graduate Trainee (Electrical)

  • Essential: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics/Electronics & Telecommunications/Power or equivalent from a recognized University/Institute with minimum 60% marks.

Eligibility for Graduate Trainee (Chemical)

  • Essential: B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering or equivalent from recognized University/Institute with minimum 60% marks.

Eligibility for Graduate Trainee (Process)

  • Chemical: B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University/Institute with minimum 60% marks.

  • OR Two years MBA/Post Graduate diploma (2 years) in Management in Production/Operations/Materials/Logistics/Supply Chain Management from University/Institute recognized by UGC/AICTE with minimum 60% marks.

Eligibility for Management Trainee (Marketing)

  • Essential: MBA (Full Time) in Marketing/Foreign Trade or minimum 2 years (Full Time) P.G. Diploma in Marketing Management/Foreign Trade from a recognized University/Institute with minimum 60% marks.
  • OR Engineering Graduate (Full Time) with PG Degree/Diploma in Marketing/Foreign Trade with minimum 60% marks.

Eligibility for Management Trainee (Personnel/Welfare)

  • Essential: P.G. Degree in Social Work with specialization in Labour Welfare, Personnel Management and Industrial Relations with minimum 60% marks.
  • OR P.G. Degree/Diploma (2 years duration) in IRPM/Master in Labour Studies from the recognized University/Institute with minimum 60% marks.
  • OR MBA with specialization in Personnel Management/HR/HRD from recognized University/Institute with minimum 60% marks.
  • Preference: Law Graduate.

Eligibility for Management Trainee (System)

  • Essential: BE/B.Tech in Computer Science/Computer Science Engineering/Computer Science & Information Technology/Information Technology or MCA from a recognized University/Institute with minimum 60% marks.

Eligibility for Manager (Survey)

  • Essential: Graduate from a recognized university/Institute with minimum 60% marks.
  • Experience/Certification: Surveyor’s Certificate of competency (Unrestricted). Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification experience in surveying underground mining out of which 2 years’ experience (1 year for internal candidate) in immediate lower scale (IDA) i.e. Rs. 40000-140000 or equivalent (CDA). For candidates from private sector, CTC should be minimum Rs. 9.70 lakh per annum.

General Eligibility Notes

  • Minimum Marks: General (UR), OBC (NCL), PwBD & EWS - 60%. SC & ST - 55% (where reserved).
  • Age Limit (as of 20/01/2026): Graduate Trainees/Management Trainees: 30 years. Manager (Survey): 35 years. Age relaxation applicable as per Govt. norms (3 years for OBC-NCL, 5 years for SC/ST, 10 years for PwBD-UR, etc.).

Salary / Stipend

  • During Training (Graduate/Management Trainee): Rs. 40,000 – 1,40,000/- (E-01) at initial Basic of Rs. 40,000/- per month.
  • Post Confirmation (After 1 Year Training): Regularized in E-2 Grade: Rs. 50,000 – 1,60,000/- (Initial Basic Rs. 50,000/-).
  • Manager (Survey): E-2 Grade: Rs. 50,000 – 1,60,000/- on probation for 1 year.
  • Additional Benefits: DA, HRA, Cafeteria Allowances, Performance Related Pay (PRP), Medical, CPF, Gratuity, Group Superannuation, etc.

Selection Process

The selection process will consist of the following stages:

  1. Computer Based Online Test (CBT): Duration 90 minutes (Objective Type/MCQ). Segment I (GK, Reasoning, English) - 30 Marks. Segment II (Subject Knowledge) - 55 Marks. Total 85 Marks.
  2. Personal Interview: Candidates shortlisted in CBT in the ratio of 1:6 will be called for Interview (15 Marks).
  3. Final Merit: Based on consolidated marks of CBT and Interview.
  4. Document Verification & Pre-Employment Medical Exam: Mandatory before final appointment.

Manganese Ore India Limited (MOIL) is a Schedule ‘A’ Miniratna Category-I public sector enterprise under the administrative control of the Ministry of Steel, Government of India. It is the largest producer of manganese ore in the country, catering to a critical raw material need for the domestic iron and steel industry. Originally established as the Central Province Manganese Ore Company (CPMO) in 1896, the company was rebranded as MOIL in 1962 after the Indian government took over its operations. MOIL operates with the mission to maximize manganese ore production in an eco-friendly and sustainable manner while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and social responsibility.

Headquartered in Nagpur, Maharashtra, MOIL runs a total of 11 mines, located in the Nagpur and Bhandara districts of Maharashtra and the Balaghat district of Madhya Pradesh. These mines include a mix of underground and opencast operations. The company not only produces various grades of manganese ore but also manufactures and markets value-added products like Electrolytic Manganese Dioxide (EMD) and Ferro Manganese.
