Educational Qualification: Member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or of Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India. Desirable: Five years experience in Executive Cadre in the field of Finance, Accounting in an Industrial/ Commercial/Govt. Undertaking.

About Mormugao Port Trust GOA
Commissioned in 1888, the Mormugao Port Trust GOA has evolved into a vital gateway for India's maritime trade and a cornerstone of public infrastructure in the region. From its initial setup of 3 berths and a 358-meter breakwater, the port has expanded significantly, driven by a legacy of industrial growth. By 1922, the infrastructure included Berths 4 and 5 with a breakwater extended to 522.40 meters and a mole of 270 meters. As Goa emerged as a hub for the mining industry, the port underwent strategic development to serve as a premier iron ore terminal. In 1959, in line with a visionary Master Plan, Asia’s first Mechanical Ore Handling Plant was established at Berth No. 6 by M/s Chowgule & Co. Pvt. Ltd., followed by the construction of Berth 7. Following the Liberation of Goa on December 19, 1961, the port shifted focus to robust infrastructure development, separating from Railway management and establishing its own railway operations between Vasco da Gama and the harbour area.
