Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Must be a citizen of India.
- Domicile: Only candidates who are domiciles of Madhya Pradesh are eligible for reservation benefits. Candidates from other states can apply under UR/Open category.
- Age Limit (as on 23.09.2026): 21 to 33 years for all posts. Age relaxation for MP domicile candidates as per government rules.
- Educational Qualification (as on 23.09.2026):
- Non-Technical Posts: Graduate Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
- Sub Inspector (Arms): 3-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Sub Inspector (Photo/Q.D./Finger Print): Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
- Marital Status: Candidates with more than two living children (where one child was born on or after 26th January 2001) are not eligible.
Selection Process
- Preliminary Examination: Objective type, 100 marks, 2 hours duration. Shortlisting in 1:10 ratio.
- Main Examination: Two papers (Paper I & Paper II), 300 marks each, 2 hours each. Negative marking of 1/3 mark per wrong answer.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): 800m Race (40 marks), Long Jump (30 marks), Shot Put (30 marks). Qualifying marks: 30 (Non-Technical) / 20 (Technical).
- Interview: 50 marks.
- Final Selection: Based on total marks (Main Exam 600 + PET 100 + Interview 50 = 750).
