4. Basic Eligilibity :
a) (i) Officers holding an analogous a regular basis; or
(ii) holding a post in Pay Matrix Level 13A (Rs.l,31.100- 2,16,600) (VII CPC), PB:4 Rs.37400 -67000 + Grade Pay Rs.8900/- (Pre-revised) or equivalent in the parent cadre/department on regular basis for at least two years; or
(iii) holding a post in Pay Matrix Level 13 (VII CPC), PB:4 Rs.37400 -67000 +Grade Pay Rs.8700f- (Pre-revised) or equivalent in the parent cadre/department for at least four years; and
b) having experience in the relevant field as well as in theAdministration.
5. (ii) Educational Qualification and Experience: Qualification: Doctoral Degree / with first-class Master's Degree in Zoology/ Botany/Marine Biology/ Biotechnology from a University or Institute
6. Experience: 14 years in the field of a status survey on Biodiversity Conservation and management, National Biodiversity Strategies. with a minimum 5 years experience in administration and Govemment of India Rules.

Selection Procedure
1. National Biodiversity Authority, a Statutory Body under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, established under Sec.8 of the Biological Diversity Act, 2002, having its headquarters at Chennai, invites applications for filling up of the following post on Deputation / Direct recruitment basis.
2. In terms of National BiodiversityAuthority (Recruitment and Conditions of Servtice of offcers and other employees) Regulations, 2006, the post is to be filled up by deputation failing which by direct recruitment.
3. For Deputation, the Officers of the Central or State Governments are eligible as mentioned below:

The National Biodiversity Authority (NBA) was established in the year 2003, it's an autonomous body function for Government of India on issues of Conservation, Sustainable use of Biological Resources & use of its Components and equitable sharing of benefits arising out of utilization of biological resources.
The National Biodiversity Authority (NBA) focusing on advice the State Government on matter relating to the conservation of biodiversity, commercial utilization or bio survey by Indians and Local Level Biodiversity Management (LLBM), responsible for promoting conservation of Land Races, Folk, varieties and cultivation, domesticated stocks and breeds of animal and microorganism and chronicling of knowledge relating to biological diversity.
