NBEMS Recruitment 2026: Notification for 18 Deputation Posts
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, has released a vacancy notice to fill 18 posts on a deputation basis. 2. Eligibility Criteria & Age Limit
Age Limit
- Maximum Age: 56 years.
- Cut-off Date: Age is calculated as of the closing date of receipt of applications.
Educational Qualification & Experience (Deputation Basis)
Candidates must be Officers/Officials from Govt. Dept./PSUs/Autonomous bodies holding analogous posts or fulfilling the service requirements.
a. Joint Director (Non-Medical) - 01 Post (Level 12)
- Essential:
- Holding analogous posts on a regular basis; OR
- With 5 years regular service in posts in Pay Matrix Level 11 or equivalent.
- Desirable: At least 5 years’ experience in administration/finance in any institute of repute and knowledge of computers.
b. Deputy Director (Non-Medical) - 03 Posts (Level 11)
- Essential:
- Holding analogous posts on a regular basis; OR
- With 5 years regular service in posts in Pay Matrix Level 10 or equivalent.
- Desirable: At least 5 years’ experience in administration/finance in any institute of repute and knowledge of computers.
c. Assistant Director (Non-Medical) - 03 Posts (Level 10)
- Essential:
- Holding analogous posts on a regular basis; OR
- With 7 years regular service in posts in Pay Matrix Level 7 or equivalent.
- Desirable: At least 3 years’ experience in administration/finance/vigilance/IT in any institute of repute and knowledge of computers.
d. Section Officer (Level 8) - 03 Posts
- Essential:
- Holding analogous posts on a regular basis; OR
- With 5 years regular service in posts in Pay Matrix Level 7 or equivalent.
- Desirable: At least 5 years’ experience in administration/Establishment/Housekeeping/Accounts/Vigilance/Research/IT and knowledge of computers.
e. Section Officer (OL) - 01 Post (Level 8)
- Essential:
- Holding analogous posts; OR
- 5 years service in Level 6; OR
- Combined service of 10 years in Level 5 and Level 4.
- Additional Requirement: Graduation with Diploma in Hindi Translation and 3 years experience in implementing official language policy.
f. Senior Assistant - 07 Posts (Level 7)
- Essential:
- Holding analogous posts; OR
- 5 years service in Pay Matrix Level 4 or equivalent.
- Education: Graduate degree from a recognized University.
- Experience: 5 years in Administration/Establishment/Accounts/Vigilance/Research/IT/Conduct of Examinations.
3. Selection Process
The selection process for NBEMS Deputation posts involves the following stages:
- Screening of Applications: Candidates will be shortlisted based on their Bio-Data and eligibility criteria.
- Interview: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.
- Final Selection: Based on interview performance and suitability.
Note: Departmental officers in the feeder category in the direct line of promotion are not eligible.
4. Pay Scale & Benefits
- The posts are on a deputation basis. Pay and allowances are governed by DoPT Office Memorandum No. 6/8/2009-Estt. (Pay II).
- Pay Matrix Levels:
- Level 12: Joint Director
- Level 11: Deputy Director
- Level 10: Assistant Director
- Level 8: Section Officer
- Level 7: Senior Assistant
- Initial place of posting is New Delhi, liable to serve anywhere in India.
