2. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Essential: Master’s Degree OR Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.

Experience Requirements

  • Candidates must possess at least 12 years of experience in the execution or construction of civil works, specifically including hill roads.

Service Eligibility (Deputation)

Candidates must be officers from:

  • State Governments / Union Territory Administrations
  • Autonomous Bodies / Statutory Organizations
  • Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs)

One of the Following Service Conditions is Required:

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assisting the Adviser (Transport & Communication), NEC in all matters pertaining to the Transport and Communication Sector.
  • Handling Road and Bridge schemes/projects undertaken by the Transport and Communication sector.
  • Providing necessary inputs to the Adviser so that he can advise the Secretary, NEC.
  • Scrutinizing, preparing plans, and estimating release of funds for schemes proposed by State Governments/NEC.
  • Representing NEC in Boards or Meetings pertaining to this area of work.
