- Read the Notification: Carefully read the official notification PDF to ensure you meet all eligibility criteria.
- Prepare Application: Fill out the application form provided in the official notification completely and sign it.
- Gather Documents: Arrange one set of self-attested photocopies and originals of all required documents: Passport-size photo, Aadhaar card, 10th (SSC), 12th (HSC), Graduate marksheets & degree, Postgraduate marksheets & degree (if applicable), and category certificate (if applicable).
- Reporting Time: Candidates must report to the interview venue on 24th July 2026 between 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM.
- Venue: CSIR-NEERI, CSIR Madras Complex, Taramani, Chennai - 600 113.
Important Notes for the Walk-in:
- Gate Closure: The venue gate will be closed at 11:00 AM.
- No TA: No Travelling Allowance (TA) will be paid for attending the interview.
- Eligibility Cut-off: Results must be declared and provisional certificates should be available. Final semester/result-awaited candidates are not eligible to appear.

Key Terms & Conditions for Candidates
- Temporary Positions: The engagement is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. It confers no right to regularization against any CSIR/NEERI post.
- Maximum Tenure: Project staff tenure is limited as per CSIR OM guidelines (maximum of 6 or 7 years, depending on conditions).
- Experience Counting: Experience will be counted from the date after acquiring the minimum educational qualification. Dissertation/thesis work and time spent on higher qualifications will not be counted as experience.
- Shortlisting: Mere fulfillment of minimum qualifications does not guarantee a call for interview. A screening committee may set additional criteria for shortlisting.
- No Upgradation: Upgradation of project staff in the same or new project is not permitted. Candidates must apply fresh for other positions.
- Notice Period: Engagement can be terminated by either party with a one-month notice or payment in lieu thereof.
- Accommodation: Candidates must arrange their own accommodation. HRA will be admissible as per rules.
- Declaration: Candidates must declare details of close relatives (as defined) in CSIR/NEERI. Canvassing in any form is a disqualification.
