National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) invites applications for the following post:-

1. Post Name: Chief General Manager (Finance)

2. No. of Post: 01

3. Pay Band and Grade Pay / Level in Pay Matrix: PB-4 (Rs.37,400-67,000) with Grade Pay Rs.10,000), equivalent to Level 14 of Pay Matrix, as per 7th Central Pay Commission

4. Essential Educational Qualification and Experience:

(i) Degree in Commerce / Accounts/Finance/ICAI/ICWAI from a recognized University /Management from a recognized University/ Institute or equivalent OR Member of any organized Group-‘A’ Finance/ Accounts related Service of the Central Government or of the State Government; AND

(ii) 17 years’ service as Group ‘A’ [Pay Scale of Pay Band-3 (Rs.15,600-39,100) with Grade Pay Rs.5400] or equivalent level post or higher on regular basis out of which 7 years’ experience in Financial Accounting/ Budgeting/ Internal Audit/ Contract Management/ Fund Management/ Disbursement in an organization of repute.

5. Period of Deputation: The period of deputation, including the period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization / department, shall ordinarily be 03 years which may be extended for another 01 year with the approval of Chairman, NHAI. Further, extension beyond 4th year and up to a maximum of 10 years shall be with the approval of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, subject to satisfactory performance.

3. Pay Band and Grade Pay / Level in Pay Matrix: PB-3 (Rs.15600- 39100) with Grade Pay Rs.7600 /-

4. Essential Educational Qualification and Experience:

i. Degree in Law from a recognized University /Institute AND

ii. 9Years’ experience in the Pay Scale of Pay Band-3 (Rs. 15,600-39,100) with Grade Pay Rs.5400/- or equivalent or higher out of which 6 years’ experience in the field of law related to contractual matters/ arbitration/ legislative matters/ land acquisition

5. Period of Deputation: The period of deputation, including the period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization / department, shall ordinarily be 03 years which may be extended for another 01 year with the approval of Chairman, NHAI. Further, extension beyond 4th year and up to a maximum of 10 years shall be with the approval of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, subject to satisfactory performance.

4. Essential Educational Qualification and Experience:

(i) Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University/Institute AND

ii. Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communications/Public Relations or equivalent from a recognized University/Institute. OR An officer of Indian Information Service (IIS)

5. Period of Deputation: The period of deputation, including the period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization / department, shall ordinarily be 03 years, which may be extended for another 02 years with the approval of Chairman, NHAI. Further, extension beyond 5th year and up to a maximum of 10 years shall be with the approval of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, subject to satisfactory performance.

6. Essential Experience:- Nine years’ experience in the Pay Scale of Pay Band-3 (Rs. 15,600- 39,100) with Grade Pay Rs. 5400/- or equivalent or higher out of which Five years experience in Advertising/Publicity/Public Relations/Media Relations/Journalism.

3. Pay Band and Grade Pay / Level in Pay Matrix: Pay Level 11 (Rs.67700-208700)

4. Essential Educational Qualification and Experience: Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University / Institute; AND

5. Period of Deputation: The period of deputation, including the period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organisation or Department, shall ordinarily be three years which may be extended for another two years with the approval of Chairman, National Highways Authority of India. Further extension beyond 5th year and up to a maximum of 10 years shall be with the approval of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways subject to satisfactory performance.

6. Experience : Three years’ experience in implementation of Infrastructure Sectors related to Highways, Roads and Bridges.
