Educational Qualification: M.Phil/Ph.D, MS/MD, Retired Staff
Applications are invited from eligible candidates by speed post for the following position under the project. entitled "Efficacy of peanut-pearl millet bar supplementation on gut modulation and Iron status among anaemic adolescent girls — An Quasi Experimental Study" funded by ICRISAT at this Institute.

3. Qualification:
Professional with MD or Ph.D in Life Science subject and published papers OR Retired Government employee with requisite educational qualifications drawing pay in PB-3: Rs.15600-39100 plus GP of Rs.6600/- at the time of retirement and having adequate working experience in the required domain/field.
4. Desirable: Five years research experience after obtaining Ph.D Experience in gut microbiota work and handling of next generation sequencing data
5. Nature of Duties: Handling all project related work on gut microbiota. Data analysis, interpretation, manuscript writing
6 Salary: Rs.1,00,000/- per month fixed without any other allowances.
7. Tenure: 1 year
8. Place of work: ICMR-NIN, Hyderabad.

Selection Procedure
After verification of the applications, the names of eligible candidates will be displayed on the official website www.nin.res.in for online interviews. Based on the Selection Committee's decision, the applications will be shortlisted and the link will be sent to the shortlisted candidates for online Interviews through Video call/ Video-Conferencing. The candidates have to make their own arrangements for Video Call/ Video-Conferencing.

National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) was founded by Sir Robert McCarrison in the year 1918 as 'Beri-Beri' Enquiry Unit in a single room laboratory at the Pasteur Institute, Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. In 1928, It emerged as full-fledged "Nutrition Research Laboratories" (NRL) with Dr McCarrison being appointed as its first Director. NIN was was shifted to Hyderabad in 1958.
