Applications are invited from eligible candidates by speed post only for Project Technical Officer — 2 Posts (OBC-I & ST-I) under the project entitled "Efficacy of peanut-pearl millet bar supplementation on gut modulation and Iron status among anaemic adolescent girls — An Quasi Experimental Study" funded by ICRISAT at this Institute.

3. Qualification: Graduate in Science from a recognized university with 5 years of work experience from a recognized institution OR Masters degree in the relevant field.
4. Desirable: PG in Life Sciences i.e., Microbiology, Biochemistry, Applied Nutrition, etc., with 2 years research experience
5. Nature of duties: Fecal DNA extraction, PCR and helping Principle Investigator in laboratory and report writing
6. Salary: 40,000/-
7. Place of work: ICMR-NIN, Hyderabad.

Selection Procedure
1. After verification of the applications, the names of eligible candidates for online interviews will be displayed on the official website www.nin.res.in.
2. Based on the Selection Committee's decision, the applications will be shortlisted and the link will be shared to the shortlisted candidates for online Interviews through Video call/ Video-Conferencing.
3. The candidates have to make their own arrangements for Video Call/ Video-Conferencing. The applicants are advised to visit the website regularly for any updates and changes in the recruitment process.

1. The last date for receiving of applications will be 21 days from the date of uploading the advertisement in ICMR-NIN, ICMR websites and NCS Portal as on 22/03/2022

National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) was founded by Sir Robert McCarrison in the year 1918 as 'Beri-Beri' Enquiry Unit in a single room laboratory at the Pasteur Institute, Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. In 1928, It emerged as full-fledged "Nutrition Research Laboratories" (NRL) with Dr McCarrison being appointed as its first Director. NIN was was shifted to Hyderabad in 1958.
