Educational Qualification:
Project Junior Medical Officer: MBBS Degree from a recognized University. Desirable: One year of experience after MBBS and knowledge of the local language/Telugu is preferable.
Project X-Ray Technician: 12th pass in science subjects and two years diploma in MLT Or PMW Or Radiology/Radiography or related subject Or one year DMLT plus one year required experience in a recognized organization or two years field/laboratory experience.
Project Health Assistant: High School* Or equivalent with five years experience in a related field from a Government institute Or recognized institute Or Certificate of one-year training in the relevant area from a Government recognized board.
Project Lab Assistant: High School* Or equivalent with five years experience in related field from a Government institute Or recognized institute Or Certificate of one year training in the relevant area from a Government recognized board.

National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) was founded by Sir Robert McCarrison in the year 1918 as 'Beri-Beri' Enquiry Unit in a single room laboratory at the Pasteur Institute, Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. In 1928, It emerged as full-fledged "Nutrition Research Laboratories" (NRL) with Dr McCarrison being appointed as its first Director. NIN was was shifted to Hyderabad in 1958.
