National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT) Invites Application for Technician Grade-A Recruitment 2026

Candidates must apply online only through the NIOT website. No other mode of application will be accepted.

1. Visit the Official Website: Go to https://niot.res.in/.
2. Find the Application Link: Locate the recruitment section on the homepage and click on the application link for Technician Grade-A (Electronics/Instrumentation).
3. Register: Fill in the basic details required to generate your application number.
4. Fill the Application Form: Fill in the full application form with personal, educational, and professional details accurately.
5. Upload Documents: Upload the required documents, including a recent passport-size colour photograph, educational qualification certificates from 10th Standard onwards, ITI Certificate and consolidated Mark List, signature, and other supporting documents.
6. Submit: Submit the application online.
7. Save Confirmation: Download and save the confirmation page and application summary for future reference.

Important Dates: Online registration opens on 14 August 2026 and closes on 14 September 2026.

• Online Application Only: Applications are accepted only through the online portal. Hard copies of applications will not be entertained.
• Eligibility Check: Ensure you meet the specific educational qualification (10th + ITI) and age criteria before applying.
• Document Upload: Upload clear scanned copies of photograph, signature, educational certificates (10th onwards), ITI certificate, and mark lists as per specifications.
• No Application Fee: There is no fee to apply for this post.
• Age Relaxation: Check your eligibility for age relaxation if you belong to Government Servant, Ex-servicemen, or PwBD categories. SC/ST/OBC candidates are not eligible for age relaxation for this unreserved post.
• Test Venue: Both the trade/written test and skill test will be held at the NIOT Campus, Chennai.
• TA/DA: No TA will be paid for attending the tests. Only outstation SC/ST candidates will get sleeper class rail fare reimbursement.
